Prime Time, April 10, 2019 | Voters, Yes. Water, No. Bihar Villagers Block Road In Protest

The Prime Time team was held up in a road-block by residents of Mahisaur in Vaishali district in Bihar who are protesting against acute shortage of water. All handpumps and the well in the village are parched with not a drop of water. The villagers accuse the administration of misappropriation of funds allotted for water supply Indira Awas Yojana and Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan. In desperation the residents of the village also plead to Ravish Kumar to survey the village and also take him to the government health centre. The staff at the health centre say that they are helpless and that they ask the relatives of admitted patients to get their own water. (Audio in Hindi)
