Attack on Titan Unreleased OST – 進撃vc-pf20130218巨人 (Full no-violin version) | Hiroyuki Sawano

Among the many unreleased OST versions of the music of "Attack on Titan", one of my favourites is the version without violin of "進撃vc-pf20130218巨人", which appears in many crucial and emotional scenes of Season 1. I've already released a partially clean version of this soundtrack some years ago, but I wanted to revisit my work and try to make a full version of the unreleased track. Keep in mind, I used audio rips from multiple episodes to craft this specific audio montage and reconstruct the OST version without violin, and some of these rips still do contain some minor SFX in the background - but the audio rip quality is very good.

For the opening section (0:00 - 0:33) I took for refence the scene from Episode 13 where Jean finds Marco's body, which had a slightly longer intro than the standard OST version. For a better audio quality, I took the violin solo notes from Episode 3 and the Next Episode Preview Music of the first half of Season 1, and then I adjusted the volume and timing by overlapping them over the audio rip from Episode 13.

For the following part (0:33 - 1:42) I switched between the audio rips of the same track from Episodes 13, 6 and 8, the latter one being the only version in which you can hear choir (it's the scene where Eren emerges from his titan). I used for the majority the rip from Episode 6 because it is the cleaner out of the various rips I made, whereas the choir rip contains some wind sounds towards the end.

The middle part of the first half of the entire track (1:42 - 3:01) is possibly the cleanest of all, thanks in part to the audio from S3 Ep.19 where they used a version without violin which was 100% clean and was the one part that I used for my previous video from a couple years ago. I mixed in the middle of that section a small section from S1 Ep.13, which didn't include the piano notes playing in the background. And so, after this final edit, I switched to the official OST version at 3:01, and kept entirely the second half with the piano music, which I did cut a bit in my previous video.
