The Ferries (Theme) | The Dark Knight (OST) by Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard

The final act of "The Dark Knight" focuses on the last moral dilemma put on the citizens of Gotham, which is the ultimatum on the passengers of the ferries. The build-up to this dramatic situation, the lives at stakes and the sky-high tension make of this scene one of the highlists of the entire movie.
This part towards the end of the movie is accompanied by a slow and dark three-note structure that builds upon itself and creates a feeling of distress and anguish that is rarely experienced in comic book movies nowadays. For this montage I included most of the tracks, from both the Complete Score and the official OST, that feature that melody, and added a few others, like "Always a Catch", that are still related with that part of the movie.
