YEP, every single time I review a new car, a little angel pops up on my left shoulder enticing me to sell all my Weevils and buy something brand spanking-new. But then just as quickly, a little devil shows up on my right shoulder to tell me to get real. I always listen to this second fella cos, well, he's always right #geddit...lol!

That being said, there's no denying the allure of the 2020 Honda Civic. With 173Ps and 220Nm of torque there's no getting around the performance aspirations of the car either, but this variant now sports 18in alloys and Honda Sensing (e.g. Adaptive Cruise Control w/Low Speed Follow, Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keep Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation & Lane Departure Warning) currently available on the new Accord and CR-V. And for all ye IKEA addicts, your wish has come true, the 'new' Civic now has split-fold rear seat backs.

Coming in at around RM140k, it's a lot of money but for a lot of car, that's for sure. A plethora of other features such as Auto High-Beam, a Lane-Watch camera that eliminates any blind-spots on the left, as well as six airbags, front parking sensors, and whole bunch of other acronyms like VSA, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist (BA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and RCGL (reverse camera with grid-lines. Ok, I made that one up).

Comfortable as an Accord and spirited like a City with 253Nm (sorry, couldn't resist that), and with looks that appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers both male and female, young and old, it's no wonder this car is just absolutely killin' it in the C-Segment. Now if only this car had a regular torque-converter 6-speed auto instead of a CVT, I reckon it'd be perfect.
