The pathophysiology of hyperaldosteronism revolves around the adrenal glands that sit on top of the kidneys (renals).
Hyperaldosteronism is a condition where the adrenal gland or adrenal glands secrete too much aldosterone hormone which leads to high blood pressure HTN (hypertension), and hypokalemia (low potassium).
