In this video I show you how I replace the atomizer screen in my Espar D2 diesel heater as a preventative maintenance measure. Today is January 3, 2021 and I had 530 hours on the diesel heater since my last maintenance in September 2020.
To keep my diesel heater running reliably, I prefer to maintain it every 500 hours or so. This reduces the chance of excessive smoke during startup and use, and also keeps the internal ignition chamber clean and free of carbon.
I also show you how to access the Digimax D1000 settings to see and reset the maintenance hours. For those driving a truck or other large vehicle, this heater is also known as an Espar D2 Bunk Heater, and hopefully this video helps you with your Espar D2 heater maintenance efforts. The Espar D2 screen replacement is an easy preventative maintenance item and takes less than an hour from start to finish.
