Bringing my Matchbox Racing Van Back from the Dead - OFF ROAD

Today we're restoring a vintage Matchbox Racing Van sent in by longtime subscriber Patton.

Rather than using replacement graphics, I decided to recreate most of the original Matchbox tampo design with paint and masking, keeping the restoration as authentic as possible. The factory monster-sized wheels were saved, the metal base was polished, the glass restored, and new Matchbox Racing and BFGoodrich decals were added to complete the build.

This was one of the most challenging graphic restorations I've attempted, but the finished van turned out better than I expected.
