You may know of friends who travelled to Hokkaido, the most Northern part of Japan. A wonderland filled with beautiful Sakura, snow and strange Japanese inventions like self-opening toilet seats. Travelling to Hokkaido isn’t cheap, so you may have wondered if it was worth the trip. Wonder no more. In this article, we bring you the best of Hokkaido and its capital Sapporo city. And we’ll show you why this is one trip worth saving up for.

Hokkaido is the most popular province in Japan, even for locals. It is amazingly picturesque and your trip here will leave you with the most beautiful sights your eyes will see. Hokkaido is also one of those cities perfect for having a road trip on. The TSL team travelled around Hokkaido on a self-drive journey for a week. From visiting The Blue Pond, Lake Shikaribetsu and Moerenuma Park, we only managed to cover the tip of the very beautiful iceberg that is Hokkaido. Here’s the MUST-WATCH video of what we got up to.
