Twitter Was Given Time To Comply, It Is Reluctant To Follow Indian Rules, Says Ravi Shankar Prasad

Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad spoke exclusively to India Today's Rahul Shrivastava over Twitter losing legal protection cover. He said, "Twitter was given time to comply. It is reluctant to follow Indian rules....Our intent is to empower the users."
As the political war between the BJP and the Congress over the alleged Congress toolkit rages, the BJP accused Congress of attempting to delete the digital footprint of the exposed toolkit. The Congress, however, continues to maintain that the toolkit is fake and has accused the BJP of using a diversionary tactic to divert attention from its failures to tackle the pandemic.
Twitter tagged BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s tweet about an alleged toolkit by Congress as “manipulated media”.
