Long Range Tuna in a Bay Boat!
The title says it all...It was an idea that could have turned out disastrous and we really risked it for the biscuit but the plan all came together in the end. Crossing the gulfstream from South Florida to the Bahamas is a serious adventure because of the high seas, extreme currents and always unexpected complications of boat or motor malfunctions. Even more challenging in a Tide Water 27' Carolina Bay Boat...Luckily, we only encountered high seas and extreme currents.....also some big sharks! Once arriving at the Bahamas you must check in with customs, become legal, refuel and then continue possibly driving another 70 miles in search of Tuna! Follow along as I guide my friends Anthony (owner of 3 Natives) Joey Antonelli and Scott on an exciting adventure to the Tuna grounds!
