Mix Exact Color in 4 Easy Steps - Color Theory for Artists, Ep. 7
This video shows you the four easy steps to mixi any color you want, using a split primary palette (6 colors plus white). We choose a color swatch from the hardware store paint aisle as our target color. Then I walk Casey through the four easy steps to mix the paint color until it matches perfectly. I will give a quick definition of each step as we go, but for more complete background knowledge, it’s best to watch the previous three episodes--Episodes 4, 5, and 6 in this series. Stay tuned to the end of this video to hear my four-legged studio assistant’s recap of the four steps (well, he gives it an honest try…)

This is the seventh video in an educational series about Color Theory. These mini-lessons are meant for those just beginning their art journey. I used to teach art in an elementary school, and while these videos are geared for adults, I still believe in teaching art using everyday English. I will explain art terms as we go. We will build your knowledge of color bit by bit until we reach the end goal--to be able to use color effectively in your own paintings.
