Join me on the ultimate British road trip as I drive from Edinburgh in Scotland through Carlisle in England to the peak of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in Wales.

The adventure starts with a whistle stop tour of Edinburgh - Scotland historic capital city. Starting at The Parish Church of St Cuthbert I walked up to the castle’s entrance and then along the Lawnmarket for some spectacular sightseeing on Edinburgh’s prestigious Royal Mile. I descended the sweeping Victorian-era Cockburn Street and found the gothic spire like Scott Monument that is easily mistaken for a church.

I left Edinburgh’s Old Town in search of the West End and New Town before walking over to Scotland's largest stadium - the BT Murrayfield Stadium for an unforgettable Bruce Springsteen concert. After the show I walked back to my car & drove 2 hours to my hotel just outside of Carlisle in England.

The next morning I was up early to drive from Carlisle to Bangor in North Wales where I met up with my family who were out celebrating my Dad’s 75th birthday. He enjoyed a meal on Anglesey Island and then headed over to the hotel we were staying at - The Royal Victoria Hotel in Llanberis, Wales.

The next morning we caught a ride up to the starting point of the Miners’ Track, one of many hiking trails leading up to the summit of Wales' tallest mountain - Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) inside of Snowdonia National Park (Eryri National Park).
