Celebrating 10 years of running arts festivals in Edinburgh, we’re throwing a birthday party at a unique underground location – Basement 3 at St James Quarter. We’ve lined up an ambitious programme of music, visual art and performance planned for Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May.

Originally formed as a collective of volunteers in 2009, curating a series of events at the Roxy Art House, Hidden Door is now celebrating 10 years of putting on major festivals since opening up the Market Street Vaults in 2014. This year is an opportunity to look back on the amazing artists and performers we have worked with over the past decade and more, whilst looking ahead to the future - and collectively get excited about what is yet to come.

ABOUT HIDDEN DOOR

Hidden Door is an arts organisation which aims to open up urban spaces as a platform for new and emerging artists, musicians, theatre makers, film makers and poets.

Through organising temporary events Hidden Door works to showcase new work and create engaging environments for the public to experience, explore and discover.

Hidden Door is a volunteer-run charity, with our work funded through ticket sales, sponsorship and fundraising. Hidden Door also applies for grants and any money received goes straight back into the festival and its creative contributors.
