My Choice - Rinella & Ricasoli: Cavalleria, Pearl Fishers

We're including two beautiful musical selections:

1. Intermezzo from the Opera Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni orchestra directed by Enrique Ricci

2. The Pearl Fishers by Georges Bizet and played by James Last and his Orchestra.

Pietro Mascagni (1863 -- 1945) was an Italian composer most noted for his operas. His 1890 masterpiece Cavalleria rusticana caused one of the greatest sensations in opera history and single-handedly ushered in the Verismo movement in Italian dramatic music.

Georges Bizet (1838--1875) was a French composer, mainly of operas. In a career cut short by his early death, he achieved few successes before his final work, Carmen became one of the most popular and frequently performed works in the entire opera repertory. His The Pearl Fishers was also played by many orchestras worldwide.
