Vintage Bradson No5 Drill Press Restoration

In this video you will see me restoring a vintage Bradson no 5 pillar drill. Iv been searching for a manual pillar drill for some time. However all the drill I came across were not to my liking. Once I saw this drill a lightbulb lit in my head and I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.
I hesitated to apply paint on this drill as I planned my restoration. As the drill was going to be a part of my workshop I wanted it to show its age and character. I finally came to the conclusion that satin black with red highlights would complement it well.
In addition the the choice of colours I also decided to leave some imperfections to further show its age and use. Some examples are the drill holes in the base and the pitting on the shaft.
