Chinese Most Stealth Fighter Spotted at American Marine Base

There are thousands of photos of the Chinese Chengdu J-20 Mighty Dragon, the world's third operational fifth-generation fighter aircraft after the American F-22 and F-35, available online.

However, only two of them were taken on American soil.

A year after a J-20 was spotted in a Georgia airport, which caused a mass internet frenzy, the stealth fighter was again spotted on a United States Marine Corps base in North Carolina in 2018.

Speculation over this aircraft, especially as tensions rise in the Pacific, has since sparked endless questions about its purpose, capabilities, and whether it is the only one or the first of a J-20 American fleet.

To some, the existence of this Chinese-originated model in the US sends the subtle message that the J-20 Mighty Dragon is a formidable warplane to be reckoned with.
