How GOOD was Alistair Overeem Actually?

Alistair Overeem has been around the game for a long time. The Dutch kickboxer was an all around force and had built an impressive resume early on as a light heavyweight. But once he moved up to heavyweight, he truly became one of the best in the division. Which lead to championships in Strikeforce and DREAM. And once he entered the UFC, he was a top fighter for the promotion for a while. But he was never able to capture UFC gold and throughout his career, he has suffered some brutal losses.
