On board air - ARB air compressor & DASH Offroad bracket - HGT Y62 Patrol new rig build Garage Life

On board air is a must for every 4wd. one of the few things I saved from my old Fortuner is a single ARB air compressor that I have had for around 4 years.

With a Fraser Island trip fast approaching I decided to install it under the bonnet of the big y62 patrol. I found a Dash offroad bracket to make this an easy task.

It simply bolts in front of the air box using existing holes. There is a little bracket that need to be slightly bent out of the way but other than that it fits great.

I decided to switch it under bonnet for ease of wiring and the whole install took around 1 hour.

I will be interested to see how long the old compressor lasts pumping up the big tyres.
