Kyrie Irving BLAMES teammates, DESTROYING the Nets

Kyrie Irving blames teammates yet again in Brooklyn. It was a different message than his incident in Boston but the result could be the same. After another loss Irving named the players he felt the Nets will depend on going forward: Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, Garrett Temple, Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert. Kyrie Irving calls out his teammates often at this point. What will the reaction in the Nets locker room be?

Kyrie has a history of poor leadership. In Boston he blamed his Celtics teammates the year after they went to the Eastern Conference Finals without him. The Celtics’ chemistry never recovered and Kyrie did not re-sign in Beantown. The ironic thing is he went there in the first place to get out of LeBron James’ shadow and have his own team.

The good news for Brooklyn is Kyrie is not the only star in the building. Kevin Durant is still healing from his Achilles tear. The challenge for the franchise is to prevent Kyrie from blowing up the locker room before KD gets healthy. The question will then become: is Kevin Durant a capable leader? We have yet to see.

The Nets certainly have talent but they also have personalities and egos. If Kyrie Irving ruins what they’ve built in Brooklyn it will be a waste of one of the best offseasons we’ve seen in years.
