Guitar Hero Live News Dragonforce Returns With a Third Channel Shread A Thon!

Yes, you heard it right. The rumors are true. DragonForce’s Through the Fire and Flames is officially back!

To celebrate, for the console version of the game, we’ve launched a little thing we like to call Shred-a-Thon, which is a marathon of the five toughest songs in GHTV as chosen by us, team FSG. We’ve launched a special channel in GHTV to host the marathon for five days starting right now, ending on Monday at 7am PT.

The Shred-a-Thon playlist includes the following tracks on repeat:

DragonForce – Through the Fire and Flames
Alter Bridge – Cry of Achilles
Megadeth – Hangar 18
Lamb of God – Ghost Walking
Trivium – Strife

Once the marathon concludes, Through the Fire and Flames will be added to the game’s regular song catalogue, so you’ll continue to have the chance to tackle that FC challenge after Shred-A-Thon ends.

The cool thing about Shred-A-Thon is that every song is Challenge-enabled*, which means you’ll have the option of competing against matchmade players in a head-to-head battle during each song.

We’ll also be giving away some sweet prizes for those that participate in the marathon. Tweet the @GuitarHero Twitter account with a screenshot of your scores, and you could win a special marathon Player Card, some Play Tokens and even a gold guitar controller.
