Closing the loop: algae to become biomass at 'Hooge Maey'
On the state-of-the-art landfill site 'Hooge Maey', project group 'Alchemis' examines how algae can be produced based on flue gases and waste water and how they can be turned into high-value raw materials for the chemical industry. This project won the first prize at the Flanders Cleantech Festival 2011, allowing the team to produce a promotional film.
