BEST BEACHES LANGKAWI ISLAND | Malaysia Travel Vlog

Welcome back to our Malaysia travel vlog series! In this video we are checking out the best beaches on Langkawi Island.

Langkawi is known to have some pretty epic beaches! The island is fairly large, 25km from north to south, so in order to beach hop we decided to rent a scooter. Scooter rental in Langkawi is fairly inexpensive, we were able to rent ours for 25 MYR or $6 USD per day.

The first beach we went to was called Pantai Kok. It was a beautiful white sand beach with clear, clean water. We noticed that it was practically empty except for a few locals. It was covered in beautiful coconut trees, that made it that quintessential beach destination. We even spotted an eagle at this beach, which Langkawi is known for.

Our second stop was at Teluk Yu or Shark Bay. This beach is named after a few stone shark statues that decorate the bay. It has a few vendors for food and shopping and is also suppose to be very popular with the tourists. However, we were there at high tide and the beach was completely deserted.

Saving the best for last, we ended the day at Tanjung Rhu Beach. This beach is located on the north side of the island and most would argue that it is Langkawi's best beach. We would have to agree! Tanjung Rhu has super soft white sand, clear/calm water, and beautiful jungle backdrops. The entire area is very secluded and the atmosphere is very peaceful. There are a couple roadside stalls offering some fresh beverages and light snacks but other than that it is very tranquil.
