The Monkey and the Cage
The capuchin monkey is incredibly intelligent, having evolved for highly stimulating and physically demanding environments and social experiences. These animals are not pets and should be left in the wild.
Some monkeys eventually escape and many are unable to feed or shelter themselves after so much time depending upon human care. Some monkeys spend their entire lives in a cage, possibly as long as 50 years.
