Axiomatic Sketchbook Drawing Online Live Demo

In this online live session, Lou will explain her method of keeping experimental sketchbooks full of abstract patterns. She will talk about how ideas form, develop and grow and how she goes about transferring patterns into finished screen prints.

We'll explore how dots, lines and circles can be built up into complex patterns by repeating simple sets of rules, and how variety can be introduced by changing rules between one drawing and the next, and even within drawings.

If you'd like to draw along, you'll need a sketchbook or plain drawing paper, pencil, ruler, compasses and a pen; a fineliner would be ideal.
