The Edifier 1280DB was a birthday gift to myself, spent quite a bit of time researching for monitor speakers and overall good shelf speakers for mid sized room. I took the recommendation of audiophiliacs who are people obsessed with high quality audio production. They recommended me the brand Edifier as a budget choice, much better than mainstream brands which would've been recommended by a retail store employee. Here's my feedback after one year!
