Wages expected to remain at ‘highest level’ in 15 years
Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd says wages are expected to remain at their “highest level” since 2009.
Tuesday's Federal Budget is the first of three major economic news items to be released this week.
Later this week, the quarterly wage growth numbers will be released, followed by the April unemployment report.
“At about 4.2 per cent at an annualised rate,” Mr Boyd said.
“So pretty strong wage growth we are expecting to continue to see in Australia in Q1.”
