The genesis of this music video was Lari's photo. Poking around the webs, I happened across it yesterday. It struck me as quite unusual. And I decided to build from there. I had never heard of this song before today, nor the singer. I just searched for a song that seemed to fit well with the unusual photo.

This song feels to me like it belongs in a Disney movie.
It is about a loss that hits so hard that it flattens you into a one-dimensional shadow of your full self. Yet it is not a total tragedy. The song ends with some sense of hope.
