The Saw series features a long line of law enforcement officers who tried to solve the infamous Jigsaw case. Sing and Tapp were not the first to investigate Jigsaw, but they were definitely the first to get close to him.

In this video I'll be analysing the characters of David Tapp and Stephen Sing as I go through their stories chronologically and explain the lives of this pair of The Metropolitan Police Department's finest detectives. Their first introduction in Saw covers most of their story, but we can learn additional details uncovered in Saw V.

I'll be sticking to the canon materials (the films) for my analysis, but since Detective Tapp plays a big role in Saw: The Video Game and has an impact on the events of Saw II: Flesh and Blood, I will briefly mention those as well.

Sing and Tapp are most known for their involvement in the early investigations of Jigsaw at the Stygian Street mannequin factory and the role they played in The Bathroom Game of October 2004, but I'll be taking every shred of information into account to piece together their stories as I discuss why they worked at partners and how they eventually had their downfall.
