The Sivas knife, which dates back to ancient times, is produced with traditional methods and has characteristics that are unique to Sivas geography, was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
In Sivas, Sivas Demirciler Chamber of Craftsmen and Artisans started to work for the registration of the Sivas knife, which was produced by knife masters for centuries by traditional methods and through 76 different processes. Within the scope of the work initiated to prevent the sales of the knives produced with machines as Sivas knives, the Sivas knife was registered to the Turkish Patent Institute by obtaining a geographical indication. The Sivas knife, whose reputation goes beyond the borders of the country and goes back before the history, was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office on December 26, 2018 with a geographical indication. Sivas knife, which became a brand with the registration of the knife, reached the standard.
