That's All Right (also known as That's All Right, Mama) was written by Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup. His 78RPM recording of it was released by RCA Records in 1947. Crudup's version is also found as a B-side on the original RCA 45 releases in 1949, being catalog number 50-0000; a cerise colored record on the company's new 45 RPM format. The song was recorded by Elvis Presley in 1954 and was his debut on the SUN RECORDS label out of Memphis. Although Crudup was credited as the writer on the release, he didn't receive the deserved royalties, leading to an out-of-court settlement for an estimated $60,000 in favor of Crudup. The out-of-court settlement failed to materialize for Crudup, who died in 1974.

This record is an exact 2005 limited reproduction of Elvis' first single and was released by the Memphis Recording Service as part of their book/DVD package on the early years of Elvis. The original 1954 record stamper from the Plastic Products manufacturing plant was used to make the reproduction, resulting in the unique so-called 'push-marks' that are usually found only on the genuine and original Elvis Sun 45s. This record has the desired 'push-marks', however; it has no song pressing or label on the reverse side and, therefore, is easily distinguishable from an original pressing. Original pressings of the first Elvis record can command an extraordinary market price by collectors. A very rare and unplayed copy of the original Sun Records release (bearing a label identical to this reproduction) sold in 2006 for $11,400US.

Regarding the term 'push-marks'; these circular indentations were not a result of the record being pushed from the mold as hobbyists have misstated over the years. They are actually evidence of a secondary guide hole on the blank lacquer disc that was inadequately filled in prior to nickel plating. When pressed, the imperfection transferred to the record surface.
