How To Install the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - DIY

Learn how to install a Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension on your trailer frame DIY style.

1. Bolt outboard arm onto control arm using fasteners supplied


2. Make sure frame is perfectly square. Measure diagonal distance from one corner of frame to the opposite corner i.e. left hand front to right hand rear / right hand front to left hand rear. Confirm measurements are equal, no less than 1/8” difference


3. Install hangers to frame. Mark frame rails where centreline of spindles should cross frame. Clamp hangers to frame making sure centre of spindles line up with marks on each frame rail. Confirm measurements are equal. Bolt hanger side plate to frame: Use holes in hanger side plate as a template. Drill horizontal holes through side of frame. Use 5/8” UNC (grade 5 minimum) bolts, lock nuts and washers to mount hangers to frame.



4. Two options for frame reinforcement

. Bolt a reinforcing bracket to the inside of frame. Weld a cross member to the hanger
