2020-21 Lockdown-phase work (part 1) - Coding in python for parsing files from ClinVar

This video describes the work or project that I had undertaken all by myself during the locked down period of 2020-21. The idea of parsing files from ClinVar, which is a database of genomic variations that cause diseases, had been hovering on my mind since Feb-March 2020. All of a sudden in India, we got locked down at our homes in March 2020 to deal with the corona virus pandemic. The locked-down phase continued for about a year and a half, restricting our lives and livelihood. In that period, I started working on the project that I had been thinking about earlier in the year. It was a difficult time but I kept pushing myself and my old computer - both of which tended to collapse (one actually did).

This video outlines my project and the codes that I wrote in Python to parse files from ClinVar for deriving information in a comprehensible & usable way (to be used for research work). I could continue working on the project only up until 2021, and later I got deviated to other projects, responsibilities & obligations.
