FROZEN IN TIME - Incredible Abandoned Gas Station in New Mexico

This unassuming abandoned gas station right along Route 66 in New Mexico is one of the most amazing places I've ever explored. Everything from the gas pumps, to the tools and the vintage oil cans inside (that are still filled with oil), look as if they were suddenly dropped where they were and abandoned. This place is quite literally frozen in time. How long has this place been abandoned you may ask? The last sale price of gas shown on these pumps is $0.35/ per gallon, which was the price of gas in the early 1970's. It is amazing that this place has remained virtually untouched for so long. It is a true gem, a nostalgic glimpse into the past, and a piece of beautifully preserved history. I hope it remains a time capsule, free from vandals and thieves for years to come and for more to experience and appreciate.
