OCULUS GO APP REVIEW
Virtual reality lets anyone experience almost anything.

This is one of the reasons why the internet changed our world.

The Internet made it easy for anyone with a phone or computer to access info.

Virtual reality makes it easy for anyone with a headset to access experiences.

This is why I'm always excited for apps like Wander that let anyone experience travel from their home.

Wander takes advantage of Google's data to create an unofficial 'Street View' app for the Oculus Go.

You see a map with blue outlines that show places with Street View data. Click the blue and you "transport" there.

Once everything loads, it works just like you expect: look around and click arrows on the ground to "walk".

You can also bookmark favorites and explore recommendations from the Wander team.

On top of that, Wander overlays Wikipedia info that lets you learn more about the places you're exploring.

Performance isn't bad: When I tested the app, some maps loaded faster than others but it wasn't poor.

So, is it worth your time?

As an Oculus Go app, Wander does a great job bringing Street View to virtual reality.

I love that you're not limited like other apps are.

If the data exists, you can search it and explore it using Wander.

Want to explore a random city? You can.

Want to explore the inside of a building? You can.

I like that a lot.

But is Wander worth your money?

I consider Wander to be more of a "good to have" than a "need to have."

I will definitely be using Wander when I show off the Oculus Go to my friends.

So, until Google releases their official Street View app for Oculus, you should use Wander.
