Lenox Hill Department of Neurosurgery
The Department of Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital is led by Dr. David J. Langer, recognized as an expert in cerebral revascularization and cerebral aneurysms. Vice chair, Dr. John Boockvar, is internationally known for his surgical expertise and for providing patients with safe, effective and minimally invasive treatment for brain tumors.
Our surgeons combine their unique expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat rare and complex conditions of the brain and spine, including:
Vascular diseases (including aneurysms, vascular malformations and stroke)
Skull base, benign and malignant brain tumors
Complex spinal disorders
Restorative and geriatric disorders (hydrocephalus)
Alongside our surgeons is a skilled team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners and radiology technicians who prioritize not just your care plan, but your comfort—whether in an outpatient setting, the hospital or the operating room. Because when you come to us for treatment, we don’t just see you as a patient. We see you as family.
