Stabby Time! - Straight vs. Curved Swords on Ballistic Gel

How well do curved blades perform in the thrust compared to straight blades? We wanted to find out by testing several different types on synthetic ballistic gel as a uniform, consistent medium.

This is not a scientific experiment in the strict academic sense, since I don't have the budget to control all relevant variables by using machines for perfectly even force and hit placement. It's also a very limited amount of data, so take this video only as a rough indicator, and for entertainment of course.
