We continue our journey, taking you up through the beautiful town of Karimabad and into an 800-year-old fort facing Rakaposhi - one of the highest mountain peaks in the world! Baltit Fort is poised majestically as the hallmark of the Hunza Valley.

Hidden in the depths of the mountains, off the KKH in Northern Pakistan, lies a vibrant town with the most beautiful fort at its highest (easily walkable) point. Dominated by the Ultar Glacier, Baltit Fort is poised majestically as the hallmark of the Hunza Valley. The Fort was built 800 years ago and reflects the glorious military dominance of the former Kingdom of Hunza in the region.
