''sticky waterfalls''

Before leaving Australia we had heard about the Sticky Waterfalls just north of Chiang Mai Thailand. We left home 5 months ago and today we finally got to see the famous Bua Thong Waterfall!!

This natural phenomena is caused by calcium in the water due to limestone surroundings. It really messes with your mind to walk UP a waterfall and not slip! We had hours of fun here and felt like little kids haha.

If we come back to Chiang Mai (and let’s face it, we will) the sticky waterfalls will be on our agenda again!

Oh and it’s worth mentioning the surrounding area is also really beautiful. We visiting in October so the fields you drive past are really lush and green. We managed to score a sunny day, which just made everything look greener and the waterfall feel super refreshing.

We said goodbye to our jobs, sold all our belongings, and left Australia on a one-way ticket to Shanghai with just each other and our backpacks! We plan to travel the world for a year, see as much as possible, meet as many people as we can, and most importantly MAKE OUR MONEY LAST!
