- Last week we spoke about the history of the idea of magnetic levitation, main aspects of its development, its application in modern transport systems and, eventually, we gave our best to give you the answer on how Maglev trains actually work.
In that video, we spoke about many cool things such as superconductivity and electromagnetism, how are they related to Maglev trains, but also the principle of a linear motor thanks to which Maglevs are propelled, and we explained two main types of Maglev suspension, electromagnetic and electrodynamic suspension.
Finally, we discussed fundamental advantages and disadvantages that Maglev systems have compared to conventional railways.
In this video, we put out focus to real-life implementation of Maglev technology, by presenting all the existing commercial Maglev lines around the world. Enjoy!
