How To Make British Cottage Pie

1 brown onion, diced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1kg beef mince
salt/cracked pepper
2 crushed garlic cloves
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 cups beef stock
1 tbsp plain flour

7-8 medium sized potatoes, boiled with salt
salt/cracked pepper
50g melted butter
1/2 cup milk

cheese can be added to mash layer
