Creamed Vegetable Meal

This was a weekday meal, our main meal of the day. It's a vegetarian meal and has no meat.

Here's the ingredients I used:

1/2 of a Napa cabbage
4 tablespoons butter
2-3 red potatoes peeled and sliced thin
1 carrot peeled and sliced thin
1 2/3 cups of Half n Half or evaporated milk
1 1/2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
A little garlic powder
A little onion powder
Salt to taste
1 cup grated cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice
Paprika to garnish the top of the cheese
Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 45 minutes

I served this with canned Crowder peas (5 g.of protein in 1/2 cup)
and chunky applesauce with topping plus a slice of butter
Ice tea and buttered Italian bread
