Radiator Spitting Water? A common complaint in homes that have steam heating systems. In a residential setting, there are two common issues that always seem to be a problem. Spitting and leaking air valve and banging clanging radiators.

Eliminating a faulty air valve as the cause of the leak, the number one issue I find in my daily servicing of steam heating systems is that most homeowners use that steam valve down at the floor level to throttle down the heat.
