The Eclectus Parrot

Found Throughout Oceania the Eclectus parrot has to be one of the most strikingly beautiful birds on earth!
These tropical parrots are found in rainforrest environments in northern Australia, Papua New Guinae, Indonesia, the Solomon Islands and several other Pacific Islands where they live mainly on fruit.
While Parrots are well known world wide for being colourful the Eclectus parrot is a rarther unique example of sexual dimorphism where the female is a brighter colour then the male
