Making Primitive Torches that Burn Beeswax

Torches have been used since prehistoric times when early humans learned to control fire. A variety of fuels have been used since then but beeswax seems to have been used in candles about 2,000 years ago. In this video I make torches out of clay and sticks and fuel the torches with a mixture of beeswax and cattail fluff. These torches will burn for about two hours and provide a lot of light. I will explore other fuels in a future video.
