How to Deadhead Roses for More Flowers in a Few Weeks

Deadheading or summer pruning roses is easy. The reason we deadhead roses is to promote more flowers and a better second flush of flowers.

Always prune back to a just above a leaf node. Prune back to a strong stem and prune back to a leaf with 5 leaflets.

If pruned immediately after the flower fades you should have new roses in around 4 - 6 weeks.
