ECOWAS Charts Path To Climate Resilience At Regional Meteorological Meeting

West Africa is increasingly on the frontline of climate disasters, with floods, droughts, and extreme weather events threatening lives and livelihoods across the region. In response, the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS has opened the 14th Meeting of the Committee of Directors of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services, NMHSs.
The high-level gathering in Abuja brings together stakeholders from regional and global meteorological institutions to strategize on how to boost the region’s early warning systems and hydrometer capacity.
