The atmosphere at the Pavilion in Ukana was cheerful as Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio showed his commitment to empowering citizens and developing local communities. He continued distributing empowerment materials to his vocational training program participants who had completed training but had not yet received their starter kits. The event drew hundreds of beneficiaries and marked an ongoing large-scale initiative, which began on May 16, 2025. This phase aimed to equip more beneficiaries with essential tools for starting or expanding their businesses, including tricycles, sewing machines, freezers, gas cylinders with cookers, and bags of rice. Many beneficiaries expressed gratitude, highlighting the importance of this support during tough economic times.
