How Does Battery Life Affect My Fuzz Tone?

Well folks, the moment you've all been waiting for- a whole video on batteries!!

When you use a 9 volt battery in your favorite fuzz pedal, the sound will slowly change over time as the life of the battery drains and it eventually dies. Some famous fuzz users specifically use a dying battery in their fuzz because they prefer the decaying sound.

I'm using my Analogman Sunbender mk1.5, which is a Tone Bender mk1.5 clone. It has a bias control (the center sundial) which reduces or adds voltage, so I will give three different bias and gain settings in today's video.

You'll be hearing three different Eveready Black Cat Carbon Zinc batteries, which Analogman recommends-
-One is a completely new/unused battery which reads at 9.86v. 9 volt batteries apparently have more than exactly 9.0v to begin with.
-Second is a battery I've been using in my fuzz pedal for almost two years, but I use the on/off switch so it doesn't die. This reads at 3.32v
-Last is a battery I've been deliberately draining voltage from that reads at .65-.75v

I'm using my 1970 Gibson SG Special into two amps-
1974 Fender Pro Reverb w/2x12" Weber 12F150's
Marcara Custom Built 5E5-A Tweed Pro w/15" Weber 15A150

Thanks!
