I Followed Čeda Kačamak Through Hell #serbia #movie #film #ww1 #visitserbia

What if one of the most haunting photographs of World War One had a real story behind it?
This is the story of Čedomir “Čeda Kačamak” Popović — the young Serbian soldier who survived the Albanian Golgotha, the Island of Death (Vido), and the horrors of the Salonika Front during World War I.

Through a cinematic journey across snow-covered mountains, starving soldiers, battlefield chaos and emotional memories, Elena follows the tragic path of the Serbian army during its darkest days.

Who was the boy from the famous Vido photograph?
How did he survive when thousands did not?
And why did soldiers remember him as Čeda Kačamak?

This historical short film combines WW1 history, Serbian history, emotional storytelling and cinematic war drama inspired by real events.
