Magicshine MJ-906 5000 Lumen LED Bike Headlight Review

This is a full review of Magicshine's MJ-906 5000 lumen LED bike headlight. As a part of the Magicshine 9 series headlights, the MJ-906 is a 5 Cree LED bicycle headlight with compact form factor. While it doesn't have the 8000 theoretical output of the MJ-908, it has significantly more power than the lower MJ-900 and MJ-902 models. The MJ-906 is sold as a combination headlight/tailight with a high-end carrying case and a wired rear 15 lumen tail light.

The MJ-906 features a water proof rechargeable wired external lithium ion battery pack (7.4V, 7.8Ah and six 18650 cells) that is attached using velcro straps. There are 4 constant light modes (low-high) and a flashing mode. The claimed run time ranges from 2 hours to 10.2 hours on the lowest setting, the MJ-906 has impressive power output and battery capacity at a $159.99 retail price.
